Text Giving provides another means for donors to give to your organization quickly, and easily. Different from Pushpay's Text Engagement feature, which utilizes your custom giving link, Text Giving allows donors to give to your organization through text messaging.
How do users give via text?
First time with Text Giving:
- Text “Keyword" and "Amount” to 77977 (eg. Lifeway 50)
- Tap link to complete one-time registration.
- Confirm Amount and Giving Type > tap Next.
- Confirm payment method > tap Give.
- Donor will receive a confirmation text and email for their donation.
Subsequent use of Text Giving:
- Text “Amount” to 77977 (eg. 50)
- Donor will receive a confirmation text and email for their donation.
How do donors give to a fund?
Donors can text “Keyword + Amount + Fund Name” or “Keyword + Amount + Fund Initial” to 77977. (eg. “Lifeway + 50 + Missions” or “Lifeway + 50 + M”)
Please Note: After their first donation, donors only need to text “Amount + Fund Name” to give to a fund. |

Can donors cancel/refund a gift?
Text Giving currently supports the keyword “Undo”. If the donor sends “Undo” to 77977, they will receive a message informing them to contact your organization to ask for a refund. Your organization will then need to work with them directly to refund that gift.
How is this different than Text Engagement?
Your organization will still have Text Engagement enabled. If a user texts only your keyword to 77977, without an amount, they will experience the text engagement process.
