Sometimes you may find that an individual person in your Community has multiple Pushpay Accounts. This can make it difficult to send a single Giving Statement, and even just to get a complete picture of your giving community. This is when the Community Members section becomes useful.
Community Members are donor profiles that you, as an administrator, can manage. Each one represents an individual member of your community and can consist of one or more Pushpay Accounts that belong to an individual donor. A donor may have more than one Pushpay Account, for example, when they provide different personal details for one transaction than they did for another.
Merge Community Members
To merge a Community Member, you can simply drag and drop one Community Member onto another. This will convert the Community Member record into a Pushpay Account record.
Edit a Community Member
By clicking the edit icon, you can edit the personal details (like e-mail address and phone number) of your Community Members. Community Member details are used to populate and send Annual Giving Statements to your community. If you make a change to the accounts within a Community Member, or edit the community member details, it will immediately be reflected when you preview a statement. Updates to the details of Community Members will not update the details of the Pushpay Account.
Differentiate Registered & Unregistered Members
When making a payment, your donors may choose to register during that process and sometimes they may choose not to register. A Pushpay account that has been registered will appear as a dark icons and unregistered accounts will show a light icon.
Preview Giving Statement
The giving statement preview will contain all tax-deductible transactions for the Pushpay accounts within the community member for the given range. In addition, you will be able to view previous giving statements generated for each community member. The name & available contact information of the community member will be populated into the giving statement.
The email address of the community member will be used to send the Giving Statement when you generate your statements as part of the Giving Statement process.
